Somawansa forms new party to contest in the forthcoming general election
The former leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Somawansa Amarasinghe has formed a
new party and would lead the new party and contest in the forthcoming general election.The inaugural maiden summit of the newly formed party was held on the 2th instant, today at the New town premises at 10 a.m.
The new party has been named and given the title as ‘Janatha Sevaka Party’. The former leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Somawansa Amerasinghe had quipped that he had left his former party totally.
Addressing his inaugural summit Somawasa Amerasinghe had said that the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna was formed not to mix up with those involved in casinos,black money people or those involved in arms deals or otherwise to deal with the United national party folks.
He had confirmed that the above had been proved recently.He also severely criticised the present leadership of the Janath Vimukthi Peramuna.
