General Practitioner has given a 3 ½ year old child with influenza surgical spirit
A mother in the Kandy ,Manikkhinna area had complained to the Manikkhinna Police that a doctor attached to the Manikkhinna general hospital while attached as a general practitioner had given surgical spirit to her child 3 ½ year old when she had consulted him for the high temperature of her child. Surgical spirit is the medicine
used to clean wounds of human beings.The mother of the 3 ½ year old Wasantha Kumari had complained to the Manikkhinna police that she had taken her child to the Manikkhinna medical centre to take treatment to her child who was having a high temperature. The general practitioner had given surgical spirit as medicine for the temperature.
The Manikkhinna police authorities are conducting inquiries into this incident.
