President Maithripala Sirisen paid a visit to the cell in the Batticaloa Prisons where he was detained. A group of Parliamentarians also accompanied the President. He visited the prison cell where he was detained as a political prisoner in the year 1971. The President was imprisoned although he was not involved in the1971 insurrection. It
