Custom Officers have detected pieces of gold valuing more than 2.4 million rupees, which had been cleverly hidden, to be smuggled out of the country. They have found the gold hidden inside the baggage of a passenger bound to Bangalore, India this morning. He is a resident of Beruwala. Deputy Customs Director Parakrama Basnayake said,
