Plans are afoot to find solutions to the issue of the people of many areas including Thanthrimale as a result of the Lower Malwathu Oya Project. Several development projects are to be implemented on the sidelines. The Lower Malwathu Oya Project is being implemented building a Reservoir obstructing the Malwathu Oya in the Thanthrimale area.
