More than 300 houses have been damaged in strong winds that blew across Divulapitiya Badalgama area. Houses in Badalgama, Katukenda, Alugolla, Dicklanda and Heeralugedera areas have been damaged due to strong winds. Trees that have been fallen onto the streets were removed with the assistance of Sri Lanka Army under the guidance of Gampaha District
