The Criminal Investigations Department has apprehended Welikada Prisons Commissioner Emil Ranjan Lamahewa and the Inspector of the Police Narcotics Bureau Neomal Rangajeewa and produced in Courts. The Colombo Additional Magistrate remanded them until the 10th of next month. They have been taken into custody over the massacre of 27 prison inmates at the Welikada Prisons
