A car from Tuition Sir ... to the First in A/LAn event of celebration was held today (Nov 23) to felicitate student Seshani Dilupamala Gunatillka of Colombo Devi Balika on having been placed First in the all-island results of Advanced Level, in the Commerce stream.
This special gift was made to her by Mr. Kumudu Liyanage who happened to be the tuition sir of her additional class for Commerce. A large number of students were present at the celebration held today where she was handed over the keys of a brand new Honda Hybrid motor car which valued about 40 lakhs as the gift.
The tuition sir also said at he moment of handing over the present that this would be the most valuable present by a teacher conducting additional classes in Sri Lanka and that other students too should make an effort to obtain good results by being encouraged by this. Seshani who was in the company of her mother,received the key of the vehicle and got into the vehicle in the presence of the crowd gathered, posing for photographs.
