Construction work on the Kurunegala-Negombo Highway has been expedited under the Deyata Kirula.
Constructions which were launched on the Kurunegala-Negombo Highway under the Deyata Kirula National Development programme have successfully entered its final stage. 4,440 million rupees from the Deyata Kirula is being spent on this work. With the completion of work on the project, the public would be able to reach their destiny from Kurunegala to Narammala, Giriulla, Negombo and Katunayake within a very short period. It is planned to complete the construction work within this month so that visitors to the Deyata Kirula National Exhibition can use it.
