The Sri Lankan First Lady visits the SOS village in Palestine.
First Lady Shiranthi Wickremasinghe Rajapaksa who visiting the Middle East with President Rajapaksa undertook a tour of the SOS Children’s village in Palestine.
She stayed at the village for a long time making inquiries into the welfare of the children. SOS Children’s villages are operative in about 130 countries. It shelters children who are gripped with poverty and who have lost their parents.
Parliamentarian Kamala Ranatunge and Srima Colombage were among those present on the occasion.
