The Palestinian Prime Minister has said that the Sri Lankan President’s visit will lead to strengthening of commercial ties. Attention was focused during a meeting between the President and the Palestinian business community on the launch of a Joint Business Council between Palestine and Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka extended an invitation to the Palestinian Business Community to explore the investment opportunities present in the country following the end of the war four years ago.
Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa, extended an invitation to members of the Palestinian business community to visit Sri Lanka when he met with them last afternoon.
The Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah, who hosted a lunch in honour of the President immediately, afterwards, spoke about the potential for Sri Lanka and Palestine to further strengthen economic relations. Hoping that President Rajapaksa’s visit will prompt for more cooperation, Dr. Hamdallah said he hopes the visit “can activate commercial relations.”
