The Cost of Living Allowance of State Corporations, Statutory Boards and Project employees has been increased.
The Cost of Living Allowance of State Corporations, Statutory Boards and Project staff has been increased up to 7800 rupees with effect from the first of this month. This is pursuant to a 1200 rupee Cost of Living Allowance increase announced in the 2014 budget. The Cost of Living Allowance so far paid to these employees was 6600 rupees.
Also the daily Cost of living Allowance paid to Casual and Daily paid workers will also rise from 220 rupees to 260 rupees. A statement issued by the Finance Ministry said that measures had been taken to appraise all Ministry Secretaries, Provincial Council Chief Secretaries and heads of State Corporations, Statutory Boards and fully state owned companies.
