A new insurance scheme has been introduced for visitors to the Deyata Kirula National Exhibition.
Every visitor to the Deyata Kirula Exhibition will be insured. This scheme will be operative till the end of the Exhibition. The new agreement for the launch of the insurance scheme was inked at the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology. Ministry Secretary Gotabhaya Jayaratne and Chairman of the Insurance Trust Fund D. Vidanagama signed the agreement.
One million rupees will be paid on a person who will be fully disabled, while the compensation to be paid on behalf of partial disability will be 500 thousand rupees.
A group including Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya was present at the signing of the agreement.
