Colombo is now a beautiful City. The entire credit should go to Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. These comments have been made by the Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera. He appealed to the Defence Secretary to embark on an operation to save the people from poisonous food, as he completed every operation successfully.

The Ven. Sobitha Thera said that the entire City of Colombo earlier looked like a hell. There were garbage dumps everywhere place. Also the road leading to the Parliamentary Complex was in a perilous state. But Gotabhaya Rajapaksa established a new capital. Can anyone think that a single person could discharge such a great service and effect such change. This skilled person can do anything.

The prelate said that all what they consume was poisoned food. All are ill. He called on the Defence Secretary to embark on another revolution. A revolution on food should be launched. There should be a halt to the consumption of poisoned food. The country has a fertile land and every inch of land should be cultivated. As he beautified the City of Colombo he should also think of rebuilding the tanks in Rajarata. He said the people of Rajarata are demanding water. He mentioned that if the tanks are built, the entire country could be fed locally.
