Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim people took part in protests which had been organized against the proposals submitted to the Human Rights Council in Geneva. The participants came to the Bandarawela town from Bandarwela temple, led by religious dignitaries of all religions and conducted the protest at the main vehicle park. Speaking on the occasion parliamentarian Rohana Pushpakumara said that people have joined the protest irrespective of any race differences to protect the President, the soldiers and the Government which ended terrorism. The protesters held a traditional ritual at the end of the protest wishing that the international community would get a true picture about Sri Lanka. Meanwhile a walk and a “Sathyak-kriya” blessing the country and protesting against Geneva proposals took place in Walasmulla town. A “Sathyak-kriya” and “Bodhi Pooja” was held at Walasmulla Ashokaramaya. Thereafter they took part in the walk protesting against Geneva.
