Sri Lankans in Australia staged an agitation opposite the Australian Parliament in Canberra protesting against the Resolution presented at the UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva.
Sri Lankans from Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth gathered in Canberra to stage a dire protest on behalf of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankans domiciled in Australia also appraised all foreign diplomats in Australia in this respect. A notable feature was the participation of the President of the Australia-Sri Lanka Friendship Association and Australian MP Donald Randall and several Australian Opposition Parliamentarians in this demonstration.
