The main office and the zonal offices of the Divineguma Development Department commence operations from today. Minister Basil Rajapaksa declared open the main office of the Divineguma Development Department on Castle Street, Colombo. The Zonal office at Battaramulla, Sethsiripaya will overlook Colombo, Kalutara, Galle, Matara and Ratnapura areas. The zonal office of Gampaha, Kurunegala, Puttlam and Kegalle has been set up in Wariyapola. Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla and Matale Districts will be covered by the zonal office at Peradeniya Gatambe. The Zonal office of Monaragala, Ampara and Hambantota has been established in Hambantota. Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee and Batticaloe districts comes under the zonal office in Anuradhapura. The zonal office in Vavuniya will cover Kilinochchi, Mulativu, Mannar, Vavuniya and Jaffna under its purview. The Divineguma Development aims to implement a major economic development programme to empower all families and to build a prosperous future for all citizens.
