A special statement is to be included with effect from January next year in the driving licenses of drivers transporting passengers.
Commissioner General for Motor Traffic S.H. Harischandra said that they intend to mention references in respect of first aid training, technical knowledge and Code of Ethics.
Accordingly, drivers engaged in the transport of passengers should study and have knowledge about these fields. The Commissioner General for Motor Traffic expressed these views joining in a workshop held in Anuradhapura. It was organized by the Motor Traffic Commissioner’s Department. The staff of driver training schools of the Anuradhapura, Vauniya and Mannar Districts attended this workshop.
