What happened to the United National Party Parliamentarians who went to witness the development miracle in the South? What is the truth behind rumors spread by certain media? This is an effort to tell the truth to the country. Five UNP Parliamentarians recently went to witness the southern development miracle. MPs Ajith Mannapperuma, Ajith P. Perera, Eron Wickremaratne, Nalin Bandara and R. Yogarajan took part in the visit. This group of Parliamentarians who said that party leader Ranil Wickremasinghe’s learning to govern by going to U.S.A., was useless, and had gone to the South to learn about the development of the country. The group of UNP Parliamentarians who went to South on the Colombo Matara expressway went first to Mattala International Airport. They were welcomed and their inspections were successful. They seem to have realize the truth. Thereafter they visited the new Hambantota Port where they saw the real development. Everybody must have thought that they realized the truth. However certain members of his group criticize the Mattala Airport and the Hambantota Port and in no way that the people would have forgotten this criticism. Wasn’t it reasonable for the Southern people who are benefited by the development act against the false accusations stating that planes are not landing at the Mattala Airport and ships are not berthing at the Hambantota Port.? Did not they ask about the statements against development from the UNP Parliamentarians? What really happened at Mattala and Hambantota Port? What are the reasons for this response of the people? We are prepared to tell the truth to the country by asking people living in the area.
