Comprehensive investigations are in place for the arrest of an LTTE suspect who escaped last night while receiving treatment at the Vavuniya Hospital.
Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said that statements had already been recorded from several persons with respect to this incident.
The Police Media Spokesman said that an LTTE suspect who was in custody and receiving treatment at the Vavuniya Hospital had fled at around 3 o’clock this morning. This suspect Stanley Ramesh was arrested for engaging in terrorist activities. He revealed that the Police and Prison officials have embarked on an investigation.
