It’s only six more days for the 2014 World Conference on Youth
to be held in Sri Lanka. All arrangements have been finalized for this Conference.
The World Conference on Youth will be held in Sri Lanka from the 06th to the 10th of next month. Final touches for the hosting of the conference are now in place. The inauguration of the Conference will take place at the Ruhuna Magampura International Conference Centre. The Conference Centre and the Mattala Mahinda Rajapaksa International Airport are ready to welcome the foreign delegates.
Also a special programme has been unveiled for health security in the Hambantota City and the suburbs. The Canteens are being frequently monitored. In addition our correspondents reported that Hotels and temporary lodgings are also being monitored. The programme mooted on behalf of health security is already in place.
In the meantime, 700 youth delegates from 159 countries will be attending the Youth Conference. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development said that all facilities required for the delegates will be accorded. There are also several added special features.
