They have been sworn in before Southern Province Governor Kumari Balasuriya. UNP obtained 14 seats, JVP 5 seats and Democratic Party 3 seats in the Southern Provincial Council. However the Members of the Democratic Party were not present today. Southern Province chief Minister Shan Wijayalal de Silva attended the swearing in ceremony which took place at the Governor’s office.
