The President has viewed the exhibition of the small and medium scale industrialists.
The exhibition is held in connection with the 45th anniversary of the Industrial Development Board at the BMICH premises. The exhibition which is organized for the first time will end today. Modern equipment and machinery will be introduced at the exhibition named “Smidex 2014”. The Consumer Affairs Authority is having a special stall at the exhibition to educate the public on consumer rights and fair trading. Sri Lanka Industrial Development Board states that the exhibition is an encouragement to develop small and medium scale industries. It provides an opportunity for local small and medium scale industrialists to showcase their talent to the world. Senior Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, Ministers Douglas Devananda and Bandula Gunawardena, Deputy Ministers Geethanjana Gunawardena and Weerakumara Dissanayake and a large gathering were present on the occasion.
