Dog who saluted President ....at Victory Celebrations
While various items were seen in the march past on Victory Day Celebrations which commenced yesterday in Matara, an incident which caught the eye of everybody was the March Past of the Dog Battalion of the Commando Regiment.
A speciality was the dog 'Snowing' standing on his two feet and saluting the President when marching past him. It was understood that these dogs had accomplished a number of achievements such as recovering hidden weapons of enemies during the war era and these dogs have been brought to Sri Lanka from America and had been given a training.
