ICC cricket World Cup 2015 underway at MCG, New Zealand all out for 183 in 45 overs, Kangaroos on top
The final of the 11th edition of the ICC cricket
world cup 2015 between the hosts Australia and New Zealand as scheduled was off the blocks as scheduled at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, in Melbourne, Australia as a d/n encounter at 2.30 p.m. Melbourne and 9 am Sri Lanka times.
New Zealand had won the toss and elected to bat first in glorious sunshine and on a wicket described to be full of runs in front of a capacity crowd of over 91,000 crazy fans. Both teams were unchanged.
They were off to a horrendous start when hard hitting Skipper Brendum McCallum was clean bowled by Michlle Starc for a duck in the first over.NZ were all out for 183 runs in 45 overs.
This task would be easy batting second against a formidable pace and spin attack for Australia. However as it is Australia is favored to win this world cup too.
