The Leader of the Mahajana Eksath Peramuna Dinesh Gunawardena should take over from the chair of the opposition
Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva as he now cannot perform duties properly as a number of staunch SLFP stalwarts had crossed over to the UNP to form a national government.This was the view expressed by the Leader of the Democratic Leftist party,Member of Parliament Vasudeva Nanayakkara.
He stressed this pointing out that for him to continue is not ethical under these circumstances as to be in the opposition he would not be able to make necessary debates in parliament .
