Arjuna claims Rupees 450 billion from ‘Nelum Tower’
The Minister of Port services Arjuna Ranatunga has claimed a sum of rupees 450 billion from the Sri Lanka telecommunications regulatorycommission. This is as the telecommunication regulatory commission of Sri Lanka had started construction of the Nelum Tower on a land belonging to the Sri Lanka Ports authority without paying a red cent to the authority.
The minister of port services has submitted a cabinet paper in this connection claiming rupees 450 billion for the land belonging to the ports authority.
The land located at D.R.Wijewardena Mawatha,Colombo , is in extent of nearly 1.13 hectares.This is the land belonging to the Ports Authority where the Nelum Tower is being built.
