Sister who visited brother in Rajagiriya after a long time ....
sees his skeleton on bed!
A lady from Rajagiriya who had gone to her see how her brother is getting along after about 5 months to his house had noticed that he was not
to be seen and on inquiring further what she was able to see was that her brother had died and only his skeleton with his body totally dissolved was lying on the bed on which occasion she had reported to the police about it this morning.The deceased is a 55 year old person named Bulathsinghalage Cooray by name. He had been living alone in that house and after his wife had separated from him, it is understood that both of them had lived separately for about 15 years. After having seen her brother's skeleton inside a room in the house down Silva Mawatha, Welikada, Rajagiriya the sister had got frightened and had informed the police to inquire about it. The sister living in Lunuwilawatta, Akurana area on going to the house had noticed the house locked up and on developing a suspicion she had broken open the lock and entered the house when she had seen the skeleton.
On inquiring from the neighbours in the vicinity about the incident, they had told the police that they had not seen this person for a period of about 4 months. Officer-in-charge of the Minor Offences Section is conducting inquiries in this connection with his officers. It is still not possible to ascertain as to on what date this death has occured and it has so far not been confirmed whether the death was a case of natural death or a case of murder.
The magistrate's inquiry is expected to be held in this connection.
