IT IS CONFIRMED THE “EKSATH YAHAPALANA PERAMUNA” TO JOIN UNP
It is reported that the proposal of giving nominations to Eksath Yahapalana Peramuna together with UNP
has been confirmed at the United National Party Summit at Campbell Park today.The Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe has stated that registration of “Eksath Yahapalana Peramuna” has not yet been done and it will be done after the election. He revealed that in the election they will contest under UNP and after that they will sit in the parliament as a leftist party supporting UNP.
Athuraliye Rathana thero and Patali Champika Ranawaka took the initiative to form the new party and as reported Rajitha Senaratne, Arjuna Ranathunga, Hirunika Premachandra, M K D S Gunawardana, S B Dissanayake, Piyasena Gamage, Reginold Coorey, Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Hemal Gunasekara, Neomal Perera, Vijaya Dahanayake, Earl Gunasekara and Sarath Amunugama have joined the party.
