When proceedings of the House was postponed yesterday in parliament, the Bill to introduce capital punishment once more was presented as a suggestion of a member of parliament which was brought forward by MP Hirunika at which moment several opinions were expressed by others.
This new dialogue sprang up based on the murder of Seya Sandewmi of Kotadeniyawa and Opposition MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara too spoke on behalf of this new topic. The opinion he brought forward in this respect is as follows:
"If it is seen that force and ardency is being continuously in operation which results in subjecting small children to abuse and if it is noted that they suffer from a distorted sexual disorder, I think it would be a good thing to think about something like subdueing their virility".
