Sanoja's jewellery and cash robbed at Damitha's funeral
A complaint has been lodged at the Piliyandala police station with regard to robbing of jewellery and cash at Damitha Saluwadana's funeral. Popular actress Sanoja
Bibile and her sister had parked their car and had attended the funeral of Damitha Saluwadana. On their return from the Piliyandala Wewala cemetery they had observed that jewellery and cash they had left behind had been robbed.Sanoja Bibile had attended the funeral at the Piliyandala Wewela cemetery along with her father and sister had travelled in their private car from Hendala Wattala.
It is reported that when they leave their house as a habit they carry the jewellery and cash in a bag along with them and leave them in the car as it is safe. The jewellery had been valued at rupees thirty five lakhs and a mobile phone valued at rupees thirty two thousand and some rupee notes of large denominations had been among the stolen items.
These items had been robbed by breaking a rear shutter which was known when they returned to the car after the funeral rites from the cemetery. The Piliyandala police is conducting investigations .
