Suspicion about "parippu" radio commercial in ....
match lost by Sri Lanka!
A suspicion has arisen over the dhal commercial advertisement during the radio broadcast that went over the air during the Sri Lanka and England
cricket match played last Saturday preventing the chance of Sri Lanka moving forward in the 20 - 20 World Cup Tournament this time. This particular commercial meant to sell the product known as Anchor Parippu which was broadcast reminded one of 'eating dhal' (Engalanthayen parippu kema) imitating the colloquial term referring to that idea broadcast right throughout the cricket commentary along with the slogan 'eat parippu and see the difference' (Parippu kaala venasa balanna).
Usually though various types of commercials are broadcast over the radio, it is seldom that radio commercials advertising products such as dhal for sale are broadcast. When circumstances are such, to what extent such a product is being broadcast until it is strong enough to be committed to memory by the Sri Lanka Radio Corporation is a moral which should be paid attention to. Before this, during the broadcast of Asia Trophy Tournament the product limited to adults named 'Maxdura' too was broadcast repeatedly by violating this very moral. The audio of the commercial relating to dhal which was subjected to a dialogue, from below
