Anusha Pelpita’s work stalled
The authorities of the government service commission had ordered to terminate the work of Anusha Pelpita and RKK Ranawaka with immediate effect. This decision had been taken at a meeting of the public services commission presided by the secretary Gamini Seneviratne on the 31st instant.
Anusha Pelpita had served as the director general of the
Telecommunication Regulatory Commission during the past era.After the change of government he is accused of allowing millions of funds of the TRC to be misappropriated to import SIL clothing for the presidential election propaganda work. However he had been recently appointed as an additional secretary of the Ministry of Public administration and internal affairs.RKK Ranawaka had been the director general of the Divi Neguma department. He too had been accused of misappropriation of millions of rupees from the Devi Neguma account for propaganda activities and other activities He had been appointed as an additional secretary in the water supply and management ministry. This appointment too had been made by the authorities of the public services commission.
Owing to severe objections that were directed my various sources a meeting of the officers of the public services commission was called on the 31st instant and a collective decision was taken to remove them from the positions they were appointed to.
In regard to this decision the secretary of the public services commission Gamini Seneviratne will be informing the secretary to the Ministry of public administration and management.
