Kotte Mayor’s two children hospitalized stricken with dengue
The Mayor of Kotte Municipal Council Janaka Ranawaka addressing a meeting at the Kotte MC has added that his two children have acquired the deadly Dengue decease. He had admitted that within the Kotte area there are problems regarding
cleanliness.This had attributed for his two children also to suffer with dengue and are hospitalised. He had added that he been the Mayor could not prevent his children from acquiring dengue.
About 14 days back the public health officers of the Kotte Municipal council had detected a neighbouring house with dengue breeding mosquitoes. The authorities of the Municipal Council had failed to file action. They should have filed action against him also taken steps to destroy the dengue breeding mosquitoes.
As a result of this lapse his children also had been affected by dengue.He had also added at the meeting that he had told the related authorities to file action against him if the authorities found during inspecting any dengue breeding mosquitoes in his garden. The failure to do so is a point that has to be regretted he had said.
