Because of public plea VAT to be amended from Monday - President
Addressing a meeting at the Maheweli playground in Girandurukotte the president Maithripala Sirisena has promised to amend the VAT component as there have been many who had aired their displeasure.
The president had said this while attending to a national programme on the prevention of kidney deceases in the Badulla district. The president had said this as he had realised that the ordinary citizens have been terribly hampered owing to the
increase of essential items with the increase in the percentage of VAT.The president also had promised to resolve the car permits issue of the public servants. The VAT matter he had promised to resolve by Monday.
