It was revealed in Courts today that the first Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese firms on the Hambantota Harbour Development Project had been signed in the year 2012. Parliamentarian Vaudeva Nanayakkara has requested the Supreme Court to revoke the agreement signed, accusing that the Hambantota Harbour and lands had been vested in several Chinese firms.
