4 members of same family die automatically when enjoying electricity through generator because of power-cut for floods
As a result of the flood situation prevalent in Morawaka recently there had been a power-cut in Rotumba village too in the vicinity and it was announced that power would remain disconnected until such time disaster situations will be restored to normalcy. Under these conditions 4 members of a certain family in a house in Rotumba area who had
purchased fuel and activated a generator in the house and proceeded to attend to their daily activities have faced an unanticipated accident.The mother, father, son and daughter all of the same family have succumbed to death as a result of this mishap and the deaths have occured at a time when they had activated the generator and switched on the fans and gone to sleep after that, it is reported.
The generator had been affixed inside the house concerned and when it was functioning the carbon monoxide gas emanating from it has been circulating within the house itself and it is suspected that as a consequence all of them had embraced death because of the poisonous gas. It is expected to conduct investigations to ascertain the cause of death whether it is the gas which emanated from the generator activated within the house. Police inquiries are underway in this respect.
