Prime Minister has gone to America on 27th morning on personal visit
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasingha has left for America on a two weeks tour last Saturday (27) morning as arranged previously. As by that date the country was faced with a serious condition of floods, he had set off after a special discussion with District Secretaries, summoning them to Temple Trees.
Ranil's tour it is understood, is not an official tour
but a personal tour. In fact he had left the country by already having reserving a date for purposes of medical treatment in America. Whatever it is, what he has mentioned at a meeting to his party members the week before the onset of floods in their presence was that under excessive fatiguing conditions he would be going to America to take some rest.
