The cabinet has granted its approval to purchase of 50 electric buses to SLTB for improvement of urban public transport service. Transport and Civil Aviation Minister NimalSiripala de Silva has submitted the cabinet memorandum. The SLTB has 6,300 running condition buses with 2,467 buses which are older than 10 years. It needs 7257 total buses
