The European Union is providing more than 15 Billion Rupees to uplift public and private sector industries.
The funds are being given to upgrade various sectors and according to the External Affairs Ministry the related agreement is to be inked in the near future. The grants will be allocated to industries contributing to minimize climatic changes, small and medium scale enterprises and for industries and services making a vital contribution for regional private sector development. Grants will also be provided to meet renewable power and energy targets by 2015.
