The fifth session of the Youth Parliament has begun.
The fifth session of the 2nd Youth Parliament organised by the Sri Lanka Youth Services Council got underway under the patronage of Minister Dallas Alahapperuma today. The session will continue tomorrow at the youth centre in Maharagama where a debate will be held on the 2014 budget. The NYSC said that it is the first time when a debate will be held among the youths, in favour of and against a budget. The youth Parliament consists of 412 Parliamentarians. The keynote address of the first day was delivered by the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Dr. P.B. Jayasundara. The second day will be inaugurated under the patronage of the Chief Minister of the Northern Province C.V. Vigneshwaran.
