Minister Basil Rajapaksa has said that the President who enthroned the right for all communities to live in the island irrespective of differences, will be totally dedicated to successfully face any challenge against the motherland and safeguarding the sovereignty of the country.
The Minister was addressing a function held at the Morawakkorale Tea Producers Cooperative Society Hall at Kotapola in Matara under the programmes launched to empower tea smallholders. The ceremony was organized to direct owners of tea smallholdings to conserve water and soil on tea estates and award financial aid in this respect. Minister Basil Rajapaksa handed over financial assistance to 850 tea smallholders under the first stage.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Rajapaksa said that whatever resolutions were brought forward in Geneva, the Governor is ready to successfully confront such challenges. The Minister referred to the dedication made by President Rajapaksa to safeguard the independence and sovereignty of the motherland.
