The Unity for the United Sri Lanka Organization based in Europe has organized a mammoth rally against the US sponsored resolution on Sri Lanka.
The protest rally with the participation of over 5,000 Sri Lankans will be held opposite the UNHRC Headquarters in Geneva on Monday 24th from 11 am. Sri Lankans living in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands will take part regardless of political affiliation. Sri Lankans living in Australia and Canada are also expected to join.
Sri Lankans living in Europe, headed by Unity for the United Sri Lanka organized many protest marches throughout Europe in the run up to the Geneva sessions. The first protest by this group was held in London in front of the official residence of the British Prime Minister.
