A 'tokka' to Hudson .... at Three-wheel StarThe three-wheel Star radio reality singing contest of three-wheel drivers which was directed by the Radio Ceylon Corporation sometime ago held its finale on December 22nd at Nelum Pokuna under the patronage of Secretary of Security Forces, Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksha.
Focusing attention on the concept of the competition, Chairman of Ceylon Radio Corporation, Mr. Hudson Samarasingha who directed the show wanted to ask a question from a small boy who volunteered to sing at this show, and it is reported that he had given a splendid answer.
The dialogue that ensued is as follows:
Hudson: What is your name?
Boy: My name is ......
Hudson: Is your father connected to the three-wheel trade?
Boy: No ... he's in the police.
Hudson: What is heat the police?
Boy: Officer-in-charge of stores.
Hudson: Do you also like to join the police when you are big?
Boy: Apo no...
Hudson: Why?
Boy: Low salary!
