Chinese businessmen have pledged their support to expand fisheries and business activities in Sri Lanka.
A group of Chinese businessmen is visiting the island with the intention of exploring the possibility of investing in the fisheries and business sectors. The group met the Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa at the Parliamentary Complex and held discussions in this respect.
The Chinese businessmen said that they have decided to undertake investments in Sri Lanka after directing their attention to the growth achieved by Sri Lanka at present. Deputy Minister Sarath Kumara Gunaratne and Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources D.M.R.B. Dissanayake were among those present on the occasion.
