Medamulana in Hambantota to pay a visit to former President Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa has become a pleasure trip to most people. Intermediate tourist businessman too have been born as those organising pleasure trips suitable for the demand.

Some individual who has thought of playing a joke in the process has published an announcement on a website mentioning that free transport is provided to such crowds and had even quoted former provincial council Minister Mr. Udaya Gammanpila's wife's telephone number, it was understood. As Gammanpila's wife is not connected to such tour-activities, she has been subjected to answering telephone calls that had been coming to her incessantly which has become a nuisance, it was reported.

Udaya Gammanpila has said that when several persons had dialled the number quoted on the website to the effect that free transport facilities are being provided, the truth of the matter had been explained but had thought that justice may not have been meted out even if a complaint had been lodged with the police regarding this issue and therefore had kept quiet.
