It was sung by Amal Perera as a tribute to Namal. Namal Udugama who underwent surgery in India sometime back on a liver operation and returned to his motherland had participated at the festival occasion in the company of his wife when this song was sung, It was a sensitive moment when he got up and made his response to the audience with Amal walking up to Namal and honouring him.
