The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has said that considerable growth will be indicated in the export sector in the next few months.
The Ministry said that growth is being indicated due to the peaceful environment in the country and the planned economic policies. The Ministry pointed out that a 3 percent growth was recorded in October, carrying forward the development that was indicated in September. The growth rate was shown in the export of agricultural products including tea leaves and garments. Sri Lanka has earned 8 billion dollars through exports from January to October. It shows an increase of three percent in comparison to the corresponding period last year.
